Tom has over 40 years of sailing experience that includes 27 Mac’s, 15 Tri-States, 6 Queens Cups and 10 North American Championships for T-10s and J/105s. In the late 1990s he was part of the indominable US T-10 team. In 2009 he sailed on the J/105 ASYLUM, which won the overall Mackinac Cup Trophy.
In 2020, Tom began working with UK Sailmakers as the West Michigan Representative. What impressed him most besides the quality sails that lasted for years was UK Chicago’s innovative sail designs and workmanship. With a background in healthcare software and speech systems, Tom knows that design and functionality are critical for generating healthcare information. He applies those standards to performance sail making.
