UK SAILMAKERS CUSTOMERS DOMINATED J/105, J/24 J/22 AND ORC CLASSES AT J/FEST SOUTHWEST

LAKEWOOD YACHT CLUB, Texas Oct 22-23, 2022: UK Sailmakers customers dominated J/Fest Southwest. Sailors racing with UK Sailmakers sails took first and second in four of the five classes and in the J/105 fleet all three podium positions went to boats with UK Sailmakers sails.

In the ORC Class, Tom Sutton’s J/122 LEADING EDGE* was first and Dave Christensen J/109 AIRBORNE was second. Both boats were powered by UK Sailmakers grand prix Titanium sails.

In the nine-boat J/105 Class, Scott Spurlin sailed YOLO* to a commanding win by 10 points over the second place BONBON sailed by Uzi Ozeri. John Bell’s Kinderspel2 took third, rounding out the podium for UK Sailmakers customers. All sailed with sails designed and built by UK Sailmakers Texas.

The J/24s drew the largest class with 14 boats. First went to Chris Holmes’ BAD MOON and second was taken by James Freedman’s LOL. Both boats were powered by UK Sailmakers Texas sails.

Tom Meeh sailing MEEHEM won the nine-boat J/22 class, while Doug Weakly sailing HNL2 took second, Once again, both boats used sails designed and built by UK Sailmakers Texas.
